Well, to clarify, my shopping trip to Target was not to buy something for myself.
I was with a kid, I asked him to pick out a toy because I wanted to buy it for him. This was not the shitty part at all.
He selected, after much deliberation, a Star Wars Clone Wars Commander Cody outfit. I don't understand the Clone Wars thing or how you tell each soldier apart when they're all clones, but, he can discern Commander Cody from Captain Rex. Here's the little costume that he ripped into right away:
Awww. Weapons drawn. How cute.
Still, I had time to browse the dresses and accessories.
Two girls who were dressed like Snooki said about this one,
<<< "Oh my GOD, why do all these dresses look so BRADY BUNCH! Eueeew!"
They're kinda right. Why is that?
Next to Jan Brady's Closet Collection was Rodarte for Target.
These garments look one way on the models frolicking in a wheat field (see them frolic here) but quite another way in real life.
And for some reason on my browser, underneath the Rodarte photos, is this -- "Related terms: wii toaster ipod hello kitty" I thought that was one product. How cool would that Wii Toaster ipod Hello Kitty be!!? But how does that relate to Rodarte?
Anyway, a couple of the dresses are really, really cute, high-end looking party frocks for tiny girls. Then there's this one:
<<< rawr? I don't know if you can see, but it has a series of bows down the back of the dress.
It's mesh and lace.
I know one person who would rock this well, and she's a stick figure teenage model type, yet I fear this would even make her look cheezy.
But my favorite find of the day was the big cheap cocktail rings section. I love big rings. I saw a few that I might consider if they were on clearance. I'm sure they will be marked down soon.
This one was my fave (say it sarcastically):
The Klonipin Ring!
It looks like little Klonipins suspended in lucite!
I need a temporary separation from Target.
