My beloved Bessie (my car, for godssakes) is getting her usual maintenance and I just fear that her usual maintenance is soon going to cost the equivalent of 3 car payments.
She's a 13 year-old and a petulant one at that. Then again, I've taken her for granted because she's a Honda Accord. She is just shy of 100,000 miles.
I'm thinking that I need to take the plunge and get a new or gently used car. That's a hard thing to chew on because one reason Bessie is so beloved is that she has not required car payments in years.
Well, here are the cars I'm thinking of:
- Chevy Camaro, in yellow
- Cadillac SRX Crossover
- Mini Cooper
Well, none of these is practical for me. And frankly I wouldn't want to park any of them in my driveway in my 'hood. If I had a suburban garage that wasn't full of crap I still need to get rid of (D. that does not mean your beloved motorcycle) then, yeah.
So I'll be thinking of other cars and trolling through my friend's site (as if she owns the whole site, but really, I think she does.)
Another friend just bought a hot red Toyota Camry coupe with no fear of the acceleration issues. My dad is pushing me toward the lesbian car Subaru. Although I drove his newish Legacy and was really impressed.
Have you purchased a new or slightly used car lately? And if so, care to share your pick?
